The Sanford House Inn & Spa

The Sanford House is BEAUTIFUL! Jaw droppingly gorgeous for an outdoor wedding. While we were planning our wedding that had turnover in the event coordinator position and a lot of our promises were forgotten, etc. We also booked the entire venue (all rooms in the manor, etc.) and they were unwilling to change the check in time for our guests traveling from across the country. Beautiful place, terrible customer service.

What a beautiful place to have an outdoor wedding! Our budget was small and we couldn't do the whole "package" that they normally offer but they worked with us and together we came up with the perfect personalized package for us! Everything was wonderful, the scenery, the catering, the staff, the cake; all was absolutely perfect! Thank you to all of the staff at the Sanford House for helping to make my wedding every bit as wonderful as I'd hoped!

The Sanford House is the ideal place to get married! It's beautiful, the food is excellent and the staff goes above and beyond with the quality of service they provide. Several of our guests commented about the wonderful time that they had and what a neat place the Sanford House is. Awesome place to have a wedding and reception. Everyone there is very easy to work with. Great food! Very Organized... The scenery outside is beautiful... It rained on my wedding day and the tent they put up was perfect, still looked great..Also I would reccommend staying there, the cottages are amazing, they are super nice, spacious, huge bathroom area with vanity. The day before at the spa, my bridesmaids and I had facials, back massages, pedicures and manicures, they were great!

Absolutely the best cakes I'Â’ve ever tasted. Everyone loved them and asked for information about who made them. So moist and flavorfulÂ…! The design on the wedding cake exceeded my expectations. People are still raving about the cakes. We will continue to buy cakes from Sweet memories for years to come. Very highly recommended!

My sisters and mother in law hosted a bridal luncheon the day of our wedding at the Sanford House. We had a few hiccups along hte way trying to get there, which delayed our brunch. This was not an issue for the staff who treated us graciously. The food was phenomenal and the staff was fabulous! I could not have been more satisfied to have that as a wedding day treat! We will go back for a brunch soon with our families as we enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much!

We hosted both our ceremony and reception at The Sanford House this December. Overall, our experience was good. While everything turned out beautifully, We ran into a few problems with the wedding planner, because we'd been promised a few things by the previous planner, and then the promises communicated to the new planner (this miscommunication was probably due to the switch in staff) It all turned out just fine, but the month before the wedding was pretty stressful. The food was great and the bar staff were a really great group of people (they kept the bar open late for us two nights in a row, and were really fun to chat with). The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating for such a large (and loud! group), but my in-laws very expensive cottage was without hot water for the entire weekend!! (The hotel comped their stay, but it was a big inconvenience). The bar manager was VERY helpful with our alcohol purchasing, and that the chef was very knowledgeable about ordering certain amounts of food. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a beautiful, intimate location for both your ceremony and your reception.

I just recently had my wedding at The Sanford House and everything was wonderful! All of my guests had a fabulous time... i worked mainly with the new wedding coordinator (Lacy) and she is a gem - if I had any questions, she would instantly get back with me. I'm sure she had a lot of weddings to plan, but I never felt pushed aside or anything. She helped to make my special day turn out exactly as I envisioned it. I would definitely recommend having your wedding at The Sanford House!! I will be back :)

The Sanford House is beautiful, especially for an outdoor wedding. We got married+held our reception in their intimate courtyard this past fall. It was insanely gorgeous- I loved every minute. It's a perfect spot for an evening event with all the twinkling lights. The food was very good, but I thought it was a bit pricey to to be honest. Everyone loved it though. The only drawback was the "event planner" she proved to be hard to get in touch with and to just simply communicate with. We definitly were on different wave lengths. I found her to have an outdated uncreative view of the "perfect" wedding. My only advice would be to have as little contact with her as possible, and to not let her, or anyone for that matter, try to control your wedding. It is your special day after all ;) So overall I would recommend The Sanford House, just not the planner.

The Sanford House was extremely helpful in planning my wedding and reception. They called me personally to work things out and were very flexible with whatever I needed.

Difficult to get in touch with the wedding planner when you needed her. The Sanford House also has many rules about the weddings there which leaves less room for creativity, but I did love my wedding there.
