Think how great it would be to have a DJ and wedding coordinator in one package. Well, with Figment Productions that is exactly what you will get in Doug and Laura. They work together so that everything flows perfectly. We got so many compliments about how good the DJ was. He knows how to read a crowd, and Laura keeps him informed on the timing of things. For our wedding not only did Figment do our reception, but they also did the ceremony. The flow was perfect since Laura was with us giving Doug instructions before we entered the building. If having a DJ and Wedding Coordinator combo is not enough for you, how about throwing in a personal server? In addition to keeping Doug up to speed on what was going on, Laura also kept making sure we (bride & groom) had everything we needed all night. So, if you go with Figment, not only are you getting a great DJ, you get a wedding coordinator and a personal server as well. If you go with them, you will NOT be disappointed!

This husband and wife team are nothing short of awesome! They offered a great service at a great price. With the special they had at the time, we received DJ services, a gobo monogram, and uplighting for (well) under $900. Their price is SO much better than other DJ's we contacted that we were afraid that the service might not be as good, but they more than exceeded our expectations. And, honestly, their price is more appropriate than the price offered by other DJ's. I/we met with them twice before the wedding (once to do an initial interview, and once after we decided to hire them to discuss details). They were probably the easiest vendor to deal with...they arrived on time, delivered exactly what they said they would (and more), and offered suggestions to make the reception run more smoothly. Laura acts as a wedding coordinator during the reception, and really keeps things going. AND, my husband LOVED that she kept his iced tea glass filled (this is a continuing problem when we go out to eat or travel, as he drinks it fast)...all night, she made sure that our glasses were filled and that the toast, dances, garter/bouquet throws, etc. all occurred on schedule. I provided a list of desired songs, and Doug played exactly what we asked for...I wasn't sure how he'd fit some odd requests in, but he made it work seamlessly. My husband has mentioned how impressed he was with this vendor several times since the wedding, which is saying a lot. He doesn't usually pay attention to these types of details. I'm not sure we'll need another DJ anytime soon, but if we did, we would hire Figment Productions without question, and we highly recommend them to anyone trying to make this decision for your wedding.

I really don't think my day would have been as wonderful if Doug and Laura had not been our choice of DJ and coordinator! They met us the week of the wedding to figure out exactly what we wanted, and helped us plan our schedule of events. On the day of, Laura was invaluable, making sure things ran smoothly and on schedule. She even made sure we ate and drank during the reception. We could not be more satisfied with our choice, and we will highly recommend them to anyone!

Doug and his wife make such a great team! He does the DJ and MC work, and his wife acts as a reception coordinator. She did such a good job keeping things on schedule and making sure we were where we needed to be, as well as making sure the photographer was always in place to capture the best moments! She also always made sure we had a drink in our hand. AWESOME! And Doug was such a wonderful MC. Worked with us in detail pre-wedding to make sure we got everything we wanted, and did not have any day-of surprises. And everyone commented on how well he did without making himself the center of attention like many DJs seem to do. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience with Doug and Laura at Figment Productions. They are a husband and wife team of DJs. Or should I say, a DJ and wedding coordinator. Laura basically acted as a "day of" coordinator, which was truly a blessing! While Doug was playing music to fit the moment, Laura was constantly checking with my husband and me to make sure our drinks were filled, we were comfortable, to see if we were ready for the cake cutting, garter toss, etc. Laura also did a few extras that I requested, including pulling out my cutting cake and putting the topper on after the ceremony and calling all my guests to dinner after cocktail hour. I was able to keep my mom and my matron of honor close by since I could have Laura do these things for me. Another thing I really loved about Figment was that from the moment I booked with them (about 6 months before the wedding) I was able to add music to my playlist during the entire planning process. And Doug scheduled a meeting with my husband and I a few days before the event and we walked through the whole evening together. I slept better after I knew we were all on the same page. On the big day, everything went as planned (or maybe better!) and we were very happy. All of our guests said they had an amazing night and we think it's partially due to having a great DJ. I would highly recommend Doug and Laura.

Doug and Laura were amazing to work with. I loved using their online planner so that my husband and I could put thought into our music at our own pace. Having Laura at our reception as a coordinator of sorts really helped things flow smoothly. She made sure we had drinks in hand, and she checked in with us about the flow of the party to make sure we were ready for each thing. For example, we were early to the reception because we finished up with pictures quickly. They were ready for us and our entrance went perfectly. Since we had some extra time, we pushed back our toasts since our toast-ers were a little nervous and wanted to review their notes. :) Laura worked so well with all of our other vendors that some of our guests thought she worked for the venue. At the very end, just before our send-off, Doug played some reggae music--a nice touch, since we were headed to Jamaica for our honeymoon! After the wedding, we had a snafu with our final payment, and they were patient with us as we worked it out. Overall, they were fabulous to work with and should raise their prices, because they were worth every penny we paid and much more!

What can I say... Doug and Laura did an AMAZING job! I had a blast at my wedding. If you need a DJ Doug and Laura are the way to go. You can't go wrong with their pricing. The online planner was great. Doug and Laura are very friendly, very professional, organized, and down to earth people.

I was really blown away by Figment Productions. We were a bit hesitant because their price was so much cheaper than some of the highly recommended Dallas DJ's but we really liked them and decided to hire them. I didn't have a day of coordinator and was a bit nervous about it but Doug and Laura ran the show. Laura acted like a coordinator so much so that people thought she worked for our reception site. She made sure everything was where it needed to be, she gave us drinks all night (so nice) and asked us if/when we wanted to move forward with the events or just keep dancing. Everything went so smoothly. Their online planners were fantastic and we spent a lot of time picking out music so Doug had great ideas for songs that we liked. It was truly wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone. And, their price is truly incredible for Dallas. $650 for 5 hours. We ended up extending our reception to be 6 hours and it was only $75 more!

Doug and Laura did an amazing job at our wedding. Their online planning form was very helpful and we could actually build our playlist right on the website. Laura helped everything flow smoothly all night long. Guests were dancing and having a great time! They were very affordable and did such a great job we were so glad to have them DJ our event.

Doug and Laura did a great job! I was a little lost on what order events were supposed to go in and exactly what music should be played, but they helped us out with everything! In our pre-wedding meeting they suggested different ways we could do our reception and what they had found to provide a better flow, be easier on the bride and groom, etc. Doug did a great job with the music and as MC and Laura did a great job making sure we were ready for each event and also helped make sure we were getting whatever we needed (food, drinks, etc.)Their online planners and payment center were a huge help as well!

We were very pleased and happy with there services. The DJ's were great, they did an exceptional job. The dance floor was never empty and everyone had such a great time. Mary who took the pictures throughout the day did such a great job and was able to capture wonderful candid pictures throughout the night

They were perfect to work with. They keep everything running smoothly and on time. Guests commented on their ability to MC the event and keep the flow at a good pace so guests were not bored.

We hired them for our daughters wedding and had the same response from our guest. The music selection was great and all ages were on the floor. All of our guest loved the event. I would highly recommend this music service and would use them again.

I cannot say enough great things about this DJ. They were extremely flexible and have a great selection of songs, and if your specific song isn't in their library, they will make sure it is! They are very professional and know how to keep a crowd happy. They also provide a "producer" to guide you through the process on the day of your wedding! Their producer will make sure that you are ready for your first dance, your cake cutting, garter toss, etc. I received music for both my ceremony and reception for one low price! I was extremely happy with their services.

Doug and Laura at Figment Productions were amazing! I went to high school with Laura's daughter and that's how I found them. They were the BEST part of our reception. The country club we chose did not follow through on many of their promises but Doug and Laura made up for all of that! They made the afternoon very pleasant and extremely memorable. Their prices are very fair and their personalities lit up the room without taking attention away from our special day. Without them, I fear my reception would have been ruined but they pulled through on all of their committments and provided wonderful entertainment that I'll never forget!
